Q1. Which curriculum does the school follow for FS?
At the Apple International School (AIS), we follow Early Years Foundation Stage ( EYFS ) curriculum in FS1 and FS2. The school’s curriculum is enriched to accommodate and celebrate the diversity of our school’s student community. AIS’s teaching-learning activities facilitate the students to become resilient, capable life-long learners and responsible world citizens.
Q2. What should be the age of the child for FS?
According to the KHDA guideline, for the academic year 2020-2021, a child aged between 3 to 4 year by December 31, 2020 will be placed in FS1. Similarly, a child aged between 4 to 5 year by December 31, 2020 will be placed in FS2. Q3. What is the Timing of FS Classes?
Apple International School runs two sessions of FS classes. These are 1st Session/Morning Session which runs from 07:45 am to 11:30 am- and 2nd Session/Afternoon Session – which runs from 11:50 am to 03:30 pm.

Q5. What is the admission procedure for FS during COVID-19 shutdown period?
Step 1 – Please fill in the inquiry by visiting the school’s website admission section (http://apple.sch.ae/admission/admission-process/ ).
Step2 – Once you have submitted the online application, you will receive an acknowledgment email from the registrar which will contain admission number and information on the next steps.
Step 3 – Upload the required documents and make the registration payment (non-refundable) on the admission portal.
- A copy of the child’s passport front and back with a valid residence visa and Emirates ID card
- A copy of both parent’s passport front and back with valid residence visa and Emirates ID card
- A copy of the child’s Birth Certificate (In English / Arabic)
- Latest photo
- School Health Form
- Transportation Form
Step 4 – Once all the above documents are uploaded online and you have met the school’s registrar virtually, you will receive an invitation for an online meeting session for you and your little one to attend.
Step 5 – Once the admission confirmation is sent through email, you are required to make the initial payment within 7 days to secure the seat for your child.
Q7. Do you accept children with special needs?
At AIS we welcome children with a range of learning preferences, including students of determination and/or gifted and talented. We are committed to educate all students in a common learning environment enabling them to realize their potential and beyond. The school has a very committed inclusion team. AIS holds the ethos of inclusion sincerely.
Q8. Do you provide school transport?
The school provides outsourced school transport. STS is the officially authorized company by the school to provide transportation for its student body. It operates the buses in compliance with the guidelines of regulatory authorities. All students on the school bus can be tracked in real-time by their parents.
