On 21st February 2018, Wednesday morning, the students of 7B conducted the assembly on the topic “OPTIMISM”. It was hosted by the students- Mharielle Grace and Xander Alexis.

The assembly started with Quran recitation by Noor Mahmoud and translated into English by Maha Saleh. This was followed by the UAE National Anthem that was sung by the students of 7B. Shafeeqah has shared the thought for the day, which was “Optimism is a happiness magnet. If you stay positive, good things and good people will be drawn to you”, where Ria Harish repeated the thought for the day. The students shared some of the main characteristics of an optimist. Jamaica Perez, Venuz Manzon, Chinonye Karen, Sufia Naem, Soha Faisal, Fabiha Zia Khan and Fatima Rahil performed a dance for an optimistic song.

Then students enacted a skit on the title; The two travelers – A story about optimism which tells the moral of the story that, “Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it, So stay Optimistic.” Then Aaron and Ali from 9B were called for the star performance where they danced for the song Mi gente.

The innovation leaders from different classes introduced their products to the students.

The assembly concluded with the Principal’s speech followed by the Apple vision song. Mharielle Grace closed the curtains of the assembly by thanking everyone and invited the senior student Sean of 9B to disperse the students gathered on the ground.
